Arctic Group has renewed its framework agreement as one of the primary supplier of global IT services to telecommunications powerhouse, TeliaSonera. The framework agreement is valid for two years, with effect from 2010, and is renewable for a further year.

TeliaSonera is currently the leading telecommunications company in the Nordic and Baltic countries as well as a leader in mobile communication services in Eurasia. The award of this agreement is of strategic importance for Arctic Group and a strong industry acknowledgement of the company’s capabilities. There has been a notable trend for large-scale operators to gradually reduce the number of framework suppliers over the past few years and Arctic Group is honoured that TeliaSonera has given us renewed confidence as a supplier, despite the increasingly competitive business environment.

A key reason for the successful renewal of the framework agreement is the specialised expertise and competence provided through the international consortium that we are leading. However, an equally important advantage that added to the strength of our offer is the company’s many years of experience in telecommunications. The framework agreement gives TeliaSonera access to an international consortium consisting of about 70 specialist companies led by Arctic Group. Arctic Group also has its own specialist company, dJava Factory, in Malaysia which provides offshore solutions to TeliaSonera.
