RSA Conference 2023
We were in San Francisco April 24-27 to attend RSA and follow up on the latest trends. Our IAM expert talks about his experience and the memorable moments.

RSA in San Francisco
On April 24-27, our IAM expert Anders Ihs was in San Francisco to attend the RSA Conference 2023. Thousands of cybersecurity professionals were there to discuss their expert perspective and the future of innovation. Anders tells us that it is:
“It’s so fun to once again visit the RSA Conference in San Francisco. Always fun (and intense) to meet colleagues in the cybersecurity field for a whole week”
This time we were around 45,000 participants who had the opportunity to listen to more than 300 lectures. During the days there were many interesting discussions and a lot of information to digest. This year’s talking point and recurring topic was about how AI and ML (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) have affected the industry in recent months. Through the discussions and the interesting lectures, we got answers to:
- Can we trust AI?
- How should we use AI in our security products?
- How do hackers use AI in their attacks?
Another important part that was talked about during these days has been about how; everyone will have to take a stand from now on and in the upcoming years “how should we deal with quantum computers and their entry?”. There will probably be quantum computers for practical use within 10 years. This means, among other things, that secure traffic on the Internet needs to be fundamentally changed because today’s encryption algorithms are not “quantum-resistant”.
Anders concludes by saying: Seeing Eric Idle from the Monty Phyton gang sing “Always look on the bright side of life” makes you leave the conference with a big smile on your face.
